Ludlow Pubs & Restaurants
Ludlow is known as the “slow food” capital (the UK’s slow food movement was founded here) and local businesses pride themselves on using local produce wherever possible. Here is a list of favourite places to eat and drink – we hope you get a chance to enjoy them during your stay at The Bringewood as much as we do.

Ludlow Food Centre (Bromfield)
Ludlow Food Centre (Bromfield)
In 2013 Ludlow Food Centre was voted Britain’s Best Farm Shop by FARMA and in 2014 it was voted Britain’s Best Food Hall in the Farm Shop & Deli Awards. These accolades are due mostly to the diversity of own products that are made at the Food Centre in the eight glass fronted production kitchens that surround the main food hall. More than 80% of the food sold is from Shropshire and surrounding counties and more than half of the food sold at the Food Centre is made in its own kitchens. What’s more, the Centre has recently opened their satellite cafe and deli in Ludlow town centre called Ludlow Pantry. Tel: 01584 856000
The Clive (Bromfield)
The Clive (Bromfield)
Situated next door to Ludlow Food Centre, The Clive provides both pub grub and restaurant quality food. It does a particularly good Sunday roast. Tel: 01584 856565
The Sun (Leintwardine)
The Sun (Leintwardine)
The Sun is one of the only parlour bars left in the UK. Originally the landlady served ale and local ciders in her living room. The ambience of these original rooms has been maintained but a large extension on the back and accompanying beer garden provides ample space regardless of the weather. Although The Sun does not provide food, you can order fish and chips from the takeaway next door and they will bring it to you in The Sun when it is ready!
